Position: WELDER

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine welding requirements and specifications. 

  • Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding processes, electrodes, and materials for each job. 

  • Perform welding operations, including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and flux-cored arc welding (FCAW). 

  • Weld and fabricate metal components, structures, and assemblies using various welding techniques and equipment. 

  • Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. 

  • Perform grinding, cutting, and finishing operations to prepare welded surfaces for painting or coating. 

  • Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace. 

  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, performing regular inspections and maintenance as needed. 

  • Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet project deadlines 

  • The welder needs to prepare and join metal materials by melting and fusing them. The use of safe techniques and precision to create connections is essential. The welder must be capable of reading blueprints and operating the machinery and equipment necessary for the welding process. 


  • Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. 

  • Proficiency in various welding techniques, including SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW. 

  • Familiarity with welding equipment and tools, including welding machines, torches, grinders, and cutting tools. 

  • Strong understanding of metal properties, welding processes, and metallurgy. 

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols accurately. 

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. 

  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor in a welding environment. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. 

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
